LIST OF ISSUES
Like any other parent, I want to ensure my kids live in a safe, positive community that allows them to thrive. I want to provide my children the best opportunities for success. For me, that vision includes retaining Pasco's unique features and diversity, while inviting new residents and new businesses. In considering projected growth, Pasco should not have to ask, "what's the give to get?" Rather, Pasco should look internally, then invite. This positive growth is my vision for the City. It's what I call "Smart Growth!"
Education
As Pasco continues to grow, we need to ensure that the schools are adequate to house incoming students. It is incumbent on the City Council to work closely with the local Board of Education to ensure that this occurs. This interaction is one of my key elements.
Unify
As Pasco continues to grow, we need to continue the efforts to unify the City. Pasco has a past; let's leave that in the past. Let's unite behind the civic leaders who have opened doors for the unification of Pasco and move forward together.
"Smart Growth"
I don't want Pasco to grow for the sake of growth. I want Pasco to promote growth that can provide positive results for all Pasco residents. Those results may include: educational opportunities for our children, professional opportunities, an increased tax base that will allow the City to refurbish existing, and provide new facilities. I don't define growth as success in quantity, rather, I define growth by its quality (what it adds to the City). Let's be smart about how we grow; let's grow together.
